3 Tips to Enhance Neuroplasticity

Hello my helpful tribe!

Here are 3 simple methods you can use to enhance neuroplasticity so you can build habits easier, supercharge your memory retention and grow in the direction of your choosing.

  1. BE ALERT.
Norepinephrine is a key neuromodulator when it comes to facilitating neuroplasticity. It’s also dopamine’s sibling. An easy way to enhance alertness is through a quick breathwork cycle. 30 deep breathes, followed by an extended breath hold upon exhalation and an extended breathhold upon inhalation - AKA the Wim Hof method.

  2. GET FOCUSED.
Mental focus follows visual focus, and your eyes are tools for unlocking your attention. To increase your level of focus on the task at hand, stare at a single point such as a wall, screen or object for 30-60 seconds. This helps activate the neural circuits involving acetylcholine, a key neuromodulator in the learning process.

  3. NSDR Protocols
After a learning session, whether it be the conventional learning of skills and knowledge, or even deliberate subconscious reprogramming, do an NSDR (non-sleep deep rest) protocol. An NSDR protocol such as self-hypnosis or Yoga Nidra puts your brain into a state of receptivity in which the content you just learned will more easily be translated into new neural pathways. Yay!
